The ISO Queens East Orchestra made its debut in 2012 and is led by Joseph Seifers.  This ensemble draws young musicians from Queens, especially from those in Council District 23.

The ISO Queens East Orchestra motivates young musicians to work together to make music.  Repertoire ranges from age-appropriate original compositions to standard classical works arranged for young players. The orchestras for young people provide a strong grounding in fundamental and necessary orchestral concepts in a community-oriented and goal-centered environment. Players should have started private lessons and possess basic skills, including the ability to read music. These ensembles prepare students for advancement and growth through each of the subsequent ISO ensembles. Registration fee, tuition, and an audition are required.

The Queens East Orchestra is made possible with the generous support of the New York City Council and Council Member Mark Weprin (District 23).
