Evan Honse

NYC based trumpeter, Evan Honse, enjoys a multi-faceted career performing a wide variety of musical styles across the East Coast.  While a member of new music ensembles, Contemporaneous, and Exceptet, Evan has performed with: The New World Symphony, Symphony in C, Radiocity Christmas Spectacular, Ridgefield Symphony, Center City Opera, Bronx Opera, Jupiter Symphony Chamber Players, West Side Brass, Metro Chamber Orchestra, as well as commercial artists: David Byrne, Zola Jesus, Sondre Lerche, Mirah, Diane Cluck, Jherek Bischoff, The Jack Moves, Shrine Big Band, Pitchblak Brass Band, D.J. Thomas Gold among many others.  Evan has performed in virtually every major concert venue in NYC, including Carnegie, Merkin, Alice Tully, Radiocity, and Avery Fischer Halls.  Evan has played on Broadway productions on An American in Paris and Fiddler on the Roof, and performs regularly on current productions of War Paint, and Anastasia.   Evan holds a B.M. in Trumpet Performance from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a M.M. in Orchestral Performance from Manhattan School of Music where he studied with Mark Gould.
