NYC based trumpeter, Evan Honse, enjoys a multi-faceted career performing a wide variety of musical styles across the East Coast. While maintaining a position as 2nd Trumpet and Artistic Manager in Symphony in C, Honse has performed with: The New World Symphony, Ridgefield Symphony, Center City Opera, Jupiter Symphony Chamber Players, West Side Brass, Metro Chamber Orchestra, and Contemporaneous, as well as commercial artists: David Byrne, Zola Jesus, Sondre Lerche, Mirah, Diane Cluck, Jherek Bischoff, The Jack Moves, Pitchblak Brass Band, D.J. Thomas Gold among many others. Evan has performed in virtually every major concert venue in NYC, including Carnegie, Merkin, Alice Tully, Radiocity, and Avery Fischer Halls. Evan holds a B.M. in Trumpet Performance from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a M.M. in Orchestral Performance from Manhattan School of Music where he studied with Mark Gould.
