Megan Delatour

Megan Delatour began playing the viola at the age of eight years old as a part of her primary school’s music education system but it was not until her second year of high school that she was able to pursue her musical aspirations. Sophomore year and on, Megan has participated in New York State Summer School of the Arts School of Orchestral Study, Long Island Youth Orchestra, Sphinx performance Academy and many more programs while serving as the treasurer for her school’s chapter of Tri-M. She began taking lessons her junior year of high school and has since then had the opportunity to study with musicians such as Barry Lehr, Jennifer Arnold, Shelly Tramposh, Gregory Williams and has a small studio of her own students- hoping to motivate them in the same way her past teachers had motivated her. Megan currently attends the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queen’s College and is a student of Brett Deubner.
